Posi-flate Exhibiting Inflatable Seated Buttterfly Valve in Operation in Stand #2-326 at Powtech
Posi-flate manufactures a complete line of inflatable seated butterfly valves for handling a wide variety of dry bulk granular solids, liquids and gases. Standard sizes are from 2 inch (5 mm) to 30 inch (750 mm) and fit both ANSI and metric flanges. They are offered in a wide variety of construction materials. Stainless steel, ductile iron and aluminum construction is available as standard equipment. Standard finishes include urethane coating, nylon powder coating, epoxy coating, highly polished stainless steel discs and bodies plus almost any custom paint type and color. Various finishes are also available from custom coatings to highly polished surfaces.
Posi-flate will be exhibiting a heavy duty inflatable seated butterfly valve operating next to a typical resilient seated valve at the upcoming Powtech Show in September to demonstrate how quickly a resilient seated valve can wear in comparison to the air operated Posi-flate valve. The inflatable seat design provides a better seal by utilizing air pressure to expand the seat against the disc, providing more sealing area and an even pressure distribution against the disc every time. The seat automatically compensates for wear when it inflates against the disc, extending valve life considerably. The Posi-flate Series 585/586 inflatable seated butterfly valve is designed for the most the most severe of applications. The heavy duty seat has been designed for higher operating pressures and temperatures. The Posi-flate valve is ideally suited for very abrasive materials such as sand, feldspar, fly ash and most other dry, granular materials, which reduce valve life.
Also on display will be Posi-flate’s line of Tork-Mate extended life pneumatic actuators. The Tork-Mate 890 Series actuators achieve up to 15 million cycles maintenance-free, at low cost. They are ideal for 90° and 180° turn devices such as butterfly valves, ball valves, plug valves and damper valves. They meet the latest NAMUR standards, allowing direct or close coupling of NAMUR designed accessories. Custom options include Viton seals, high temperature trim, special finishes, stainless steel pinions, special mounting configurations and special coupling configurations.
